World Relays in Nassau, Bahamas

Kicking off the action-packed week are the World Relays, scheduled from the 4th to the 5th of May in Nassau, Bahamas, at the iconic Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium. This event stands as a pivotal Olympic qualifying platform, attracting top-performing athletes from over 40 countries. As nations vie for supremacy in relay events, the stakes are high, promising thrilling displays of speed, teamwork, and determination.

Sahara Conference: Basketball Africa League

Simultaneously, the Sahara Conference of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) will unfold in Dakar, Senegal, from May 4th to 12th. Dakar’s vibrant atmosphere, coupled with Africa’s rich basketball talent, sets the stage for an electrifying showdown. 

Representing different corners of the continent, powerhouse teams like Union Sportive Monastirienne (Tunisia), Armee Patriotique Rwandaise (Rwanda), Association Sportive des Douanes (Senegal), and Rivers Hoopers Basketball Club (Nigeria) will compete fiercely for glory, captivating fans worldwide.

HSBC SVNS Series in Singapore

The HSBC SVNS Series in Singapore, spanning from the 3rd to the 5th of May, brings together rugby enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds. South Africa’s Blitzboks and Women’s Boks carry the African banner into this fiercely contested series. With the Blitzboks displaying strength in the men’s rankings and the Women Boks determined to make their mark, the competition promises intense action and strategic brilliance.

Cycling Extravaganza: Giro D’Italia

Cycling enthusiasts are in for a treat with the Giro d’Italia, a month-long spectacle from the 4th to the 26th of May. This prestigious race, renowned for its gruelling stages and scenic routes across Italy, attracts top cyclists from around the globe. BMO Vancouver Marathon

Africa Swimming and Open Water Championships in Luanda, Angola
