GARY BENEKE – Past World Masters Road Champion, 2021 SA Masters Road Champion and qualified cycling coach and Teacher.

KENT MAIN – Professional rider from PROTOUCH Continental Team – the top UCI-ranked Team in Africa (ranked 3rd in the World). Silver medalist at 2021 SA National and African Continental Championships.

DAN NICHOLL – Television presenter, MC, and popular public figure.The Dan Nicholl Show is in its ninth season broadcasting across Africa.

SANANI MANGISA –Former South African Women’s Hockey player, with 112 international caps over a 10-year period. Her career highlights include the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the 2010 Commonwealth Games, the 2012 London Olympic Games and the 2014 Hockey World Cup.

GAVIN KILPATRICK – Bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games as a tandem cyclist with Michael Thomson. He has also represented South Africa as a rower and won a bronze medal at international level.

GARY BENEKE – 58-Year old Gary has raced competitively for 48 years as an ex professional and Springbok cyclist. Past winner of almost every majot cycling road and track event (over 1 000 races) in South Africa including the Rapport Tour in 1988. Gary is a Past World Masters Road Champion, current SA Masters Road Champion and qualified cycling coach and Teacher.

KENT MAIN – Kent is a 25-year old professional rider from PROTOUCH Continental Team – the top UCI-ranked Team in Africa (ranked 3rd in the World). Kent is currently ranked 2nd in the UCI Africa Tour rankings, behind WT Rider Ryan Gibbons. Kent won the silver medal at this years SA National Time Trial as well as African Continental Championships and has recently returned from Tour du Rwanda, Africa’s toughest tour with his team mates finishing in 10th place on GC alongside strong EU-based Teams such as Total Direct Energie, B&B Hotels, Androni Giocattoli and Israel Start Up Nation.

DAN NICHOLL – Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and brought up in Zimbabwe, Dan has lived in South Africa for 20 years, and has established a strong reputation as a television presenter, MC, and popular public figure.The Dan Nicholl Show is in its ninth season broadcasting across Africa, bringing together local and international celebrities, while Dan Really Likes Wine, Dan’s weekly online wine show, has been running successfully since 2016. When not in front of the camera, Dan brings his trademark humour and engaging personality to stages around the world as an event host and presenter.

SANANI MANGISA – Former South African Women’s Hockey player, with 112 international caps over a 10-year period. Sanani discovered hockey in Kokstad where she attended primary school, but her love for the game blossomed when she was selected for junior provincial teams at Epworth, a Pietermaritzburg boarding school. Her hard work and dedication to the game paid off as she was awarded a full scholarship to study at the University of Pretoria (Tuks) majoring in Financial Management. It is while at Tuks that she was invited to attend a training camp with the South African women’s hockey team. At 19, she earned her first senior national cap. In October 2013, she suffered a possible career-ending injury when she snapped her Achilles tendon while training. She describes the operation and subsequent rehabilitation as one of the most testing and character-building times of her hockey career. Her career highlights include the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the 2010 Commonwealth Games, the 2012 London Olympic Games and the 2014 Hockey World Cup.

GAVIN KILPATRICK – Gavin was diagnosed with Stargardt Disease (a form of macular degeneration) at a young age. He has been eagerly involved in sport all his life and participated in numerous activities including volley ball, golf, cricket and has even ridden a motocross (dirt) bike. Sport participation has been an integral part of his life and social development and a tool to inspire many able bodied individuals. His most memorable achievement by far was winning a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games as a tandem cyclist with Michael Thomson. This was a truly life changing experience which taught him patience and most importantly to never give up, no matter what circumstances present themselves. He has also represented South Africa as a rower and won a bronze medal at international level. He completed an honours degree in Sports Management at the University of Johannesburg.
