 Among them, the legendary sprinter and Olympic gold medallist, Pauline Davis-Thompson, stands as a national hero and a shining star in the country’s athletic legacy. Seychelles’ sporting prowess extends beyond track and field, with the Seychelles National Football Team claiming victory at the Indian Ocean Island Games twice, in 2003 and 2011.

 The Seychelles National Basketball Team, Rugby Team, Volleyball Team, and Athletics Team have also achieved notable success, securing victories at the same Games in 2003 and 2011.
